E-Collar Group Training
This class will require minimally that you have graduated from a Landheim Basic Obedience class or equivalent. You will also need a suitable e-collar with minimally 100 levels. We prefer the Mini Educator 1 & 2 dog or Dogtra 1 & 2 dog systems. Any reputable brand with 100 levels will work.
Our E-Collars use a form of stimulus that targets the neck muscles of the dog. With stimulation levels ranging from 1 to 100, our E-Collars allow you to adjust the stimulation to a level that is best suited to gently communicate with your dog. This “best level” can be locked to prevent over-stimulation and easily adjusted for a higher distraction environment when necessary.
Both systems are available for purchase at our facility at a discounted price. Also, you will need a 10-foot training leash as well as your reward pouch and plenty of soft meaty treats that your dog will readily eat. Other than your e-collar you will also need a flat collar or training collar but no harness. (*Under special circumstances, other equipment may be approved by trainer.)
In the e-collar class, you will be learning modern techniques for pairing the low level e-collar stimulation with food reward for the basic obedience commands. We will be adding the PLACE command as well as e-collar heeling. We will also address how to use your e-collar for correcting bad behavior in the home and yard.
Charge up your e-collars and get ready to call your dogs to the party!
